Catholic Charities Hawai’i’s Clarence T.C. Ching Campus Dedication

Catholic Charities Hawaii celebrated the grand opening of its new Clarence T. C. Ching Campus, located on 2.2 acres in Makiki on March 31, 2010. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, Lt. Governor James Duke Aiona, Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Bishop Larry Silva, Larry Rodriguez, Chuck Jones, Father Larry Snyder, Jerry Rauckhorst and representatives of The Clarence T. C. Ching Foundation were on hand for the formal dedication, which included blessings of the new Campus and Peace Pole, maile untying ceremony and formal remarks.

Hilo Office Blessing

Auntie Emily Naole did us the favor of doing the blessing for our office in Hilo. Lovely lady, very spiritual and a truly nice person. Thanks, Auntie Emily for doing this for us. Did you see the Lomi Limi Stick that I got from you a few years ago? You had a special large Lomi Lomi stick made for me (because I am about 6′4″). LOVE it.

Senator Mike Gabbards HUGE Block Party for Kualakai Parkway

www.mikegabbard.blogspot.com Talk about a long-time coming! It was awesome to attend and speak at the dedication ceremony for Kualaka’i Parkway (formerly North-South Road) on February 11th. The cost of this 2.3 mile road, which links Kapolei Parkway to Farrington Highway in West Oahu, was $155 million, with 80% of the cost paid by the feds. The actual construction of this road took 4 years but Hawaii residents have been waiting for over 20 years for it to be built.
