On Saturday, November 21, 2009, Word of Life Christian Center members, friends and families humbly served 5,700 Thanksgiving lunches at 45 sites throughout Oahu! It was an amazing, touching day. Our desire was to share the love of God with our communities and let them know that we love them and Jesus loves them. It’s a simple message but a life-changing one. We had Men of War and the Blessing Crew ministering, former rival gang members working side by side, a blessing store where men, women and children shopped for whatever they needed and wanted at no cost to them, and of course a delicious Thanksgiving meal. We are so Thankful for everyone that gave of their time, talents and treasure. And for the community leaders that allowed us to join forces with them to bring the light of God through this outreach.
